PCB Design

Coresys can design your product from your specification at our design office in Greater Manchester.

We have CAD systems for design, virtual prototyping and simulation.

We have 2 test labs for building and testing prototypes equipped with electronic test equipment, soldering tools and 3D printer.

We use Alibre Design Expert, Autodesk Fusion 360 and Altair Engineering tools for Mechanical CAD.

Coresys can design digital and analogue circuits from your specification.

We use Altium Designer Pro, Altium 365. Cadence Orcad PCB Designer professional. Altair Pollex, Hyperlynx, LT Spice and other tools.

Coresys can design your PCB from your schematic.

Our main CAD software is Altium Designer Pro but we can also use Cadence Orcad or any other schematic format. We use FAB3000 and other tools for DFE, DFA and DFM checks.

Coresys can build your prototype using our trusted manufacturing partners and test it at our well equipped labs..

We have Oscilloscopes, Spectrum analysers, Vector network analysers, power supplies, electronic loads, Logic analysers, JTAG technologies Provision, 3D printer with heated chamber and large build volume. Soldering and de-soldering tools. Thermal cameras.

Coresys can arrange and manage manufacture of your full product, Printed Circuit Board or assemble your PCB using our trusted manufacturing partners.

We can review your design and bill of materials and suggest improvements and to check environmental compliance (RoHS and REACH etc)

Coresys has been working on prototype robot end effectors for task such as dispensing glue and silicone sealant, vacuum gripper for pick and place, circuit testing.

Coresys re design your hardware design:

- to mitigate component obsolescence.

- to add extra component options to ease sourcing issues.

- to solve environmental compliance issues.

- to add new features

We may be able to refresh your design even if some of the design files have been lost.

Coresys can review and update your bill of materials (BoM) for the following:

- Identify and suggest extra equivalent parts for each BoM item.

- Check environmental compliance and suggest replacement compliant items if necessary.

- Check parts are suitably de-rated for the circuit.

We can use subscription tools such as Silicon Expert or Z2Data or gather the information from the web using our own Python apps using distributors and manufacturers APIs. When data is not readily available be use old fashioned methods (phone and email).

Python libraries and web APIs that are available.

The possibilities are endless!

Coresys can design and build both hardware and software for your prototype IoT system.

We can interface sensors to micro controllers board and write code to display and log the results on a web page.

Coresys has been working to understand and use Ai technology in the business.

In 2023 we took part in the Greater Manchester Ai Foundry and worked with M anchester Metropolitan University who produced an Electronic Component Recognizer Ai powered prototype that could recognize different types of electronic components on a circuit board and find circuit board features.

In 2024 we are experimenting with Ai tool to help with circuit design and plan to develop our own Apps written in Python to automate certain tasks.
